About Us

A group of modern quilters in San Antonio, Texas, started this chapter of the Modern Quilt Guild in 2010 to bring together people with a common love for patchwork and quilting, with a little twist on tradition.

The San Antonio Modern Quilt Guild is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support and encourage the growth and development of Modern Quilting through art, education, community and friendship. Through social media and meeting in person, we learn and share with each other and have a common goal of quilt making.

Join the Guild:

Come join us and meet other quilters with a love for the modern aesthetic and/or a passion for putting a modern twist on traditional quilting. Be inspired by our monthly sew-n-tell and learn something new during our exciting programs!
Cost: $40 for the year.  The calendar year is January-December.  **Come to your first meeting FREE!**

Meeting Info:

We meet on the second Saturday of each month.
Meetings start promptly at 10:30 a.m.

Guild Activities:

Sew In and Bees - Get together to sew with your fellow guild quilters. These fun social events are in addition to our meetings.

Workshops - In addition to workshops provided by our guild meeting presenters we also have other workshops taught by guild members.  These are not only fun but an inexpensive way to learn new techniques or try new patterns.
