Anna Maria Horner-Reserve Garden Quilt Workshop

Our guild is fortunate to have the opportunity to have Anna Maria Horner present a workshop on her Reserve Garden Quilt.

The quilt has a featured applique center and four identical applique vignettes. Everything rests on simple patchwork blocks.
Key Fabrics & tools for the quilt:
-the center applique (fussy cutting features)
-soft prints & cream/white for backgrounds
-graduating solids for stems
-various florals for applique
-Standard sewing tools including cutting and marking tools, hand sewing needle & thread
-Lightweight fusible such as Wonder Under, Pellon 805, etc. (only if raw edge applique is desired)
-Moonbeam templates (annamariahorner.com or Grome’s Sewing Machine Co)
-Reserve Garden Quilt Pattern (Anna Maria provides)

Kits are not available for this quilt BUT you will have the opportunity to shop the wide variety of Anna Maria Horner Fabrics which are available at Grome's Sewing Machine.   Anna Maria will be available to provide guidance on fabric selection during the workshop and at the meet and greet and lecture on April 15th, 2022.  Please refer to the Grome's website for details.

March Meeting

 

Join us for the SAMQG March meeting On March 11th from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm at the Boerne Public Library

The March meeting will have Cecilia Salinas provide a presentation on how to take care of your body in order to enjoy quilting for many years.  The presentation will be followed by a sit and sew. Bring your Sewing Machines or hand sewing items to stay and sew afterwards. Bring a lunch or get takeout at the wonderful restaurants nearby.
